![]() ![]() Proximity voice - Can't a boy dream?!? Allow players to hear each other when they are near each other in game.Vehicle comms - Anyone in a vehicle can communicate with the other passengers, in the same open mic style that a squad enjoys.Used to request vehicle support or for vehicle specific intel communication. Support Channel - Dedicated button press for SLs to communicate directly to anyone piloting/driving a vehicle. But there are some additional features that would seriously take it to the next level. The system proposed above would be simple enough and highly effective in increasing communication across a team. (Perhaps the default being Y or Triangle) When a SL wishes to chat on the SLCC, they Hold down the commo rose button and hold down another button at the same time. ![]() My solution is to build the comms channel system into the already existing commo rose, making an SL's life all the more intuitive and integrated. But for controller users, this can be a situation very tight on real estate. PC players would obviously be able to easily assign some dedicated keys for chatting on any number of dedicated comms channels. A squad mobilized with a few tanks could communicate with a forward observer sniper to direct their shells accurately on a hard target. For instance 2 infantry focused squads could coordinate air support on an objective from a squad focused on piloting air vehicles. ![]() This system would allow for advanced strategic communication across an entire team. The squad will still be able to hear the SL when they are talking on the SLCC, allowing for a free flow of information between squads. The channel audio would come in over on top of their squad comms channel, preceded by a radio chirp of some kind.
